Tiger Lily silk scarf
After all of the lovely weather we have had I couldn't wait to paint some more summery silk scarves. This is the latest piece to my collection. I simply adore lilies and decided to play around with the colour palette. I have used both copper and gold tone gutta for the outline and detail. I really enjoy using the caramel shade for the backdrop as it gives that vintage feel.

In the spirit of the Royal Wedding I decided to make these cute rose earrings and hair slides in the patriotic colours. My two lovely friends came to join me in the celebrations and went home with a pair of rose earrings each....soon to be appearing in my shop on Folksy.

Just thought I'd load some photos of my working progress. I always save magazine and newspaper cuttings and now and again have a rummage through to make an inspiration board to help the design process. This is the cabbage rose scarf in its early stages. The scarves look so different from the early stages to the end result. The unpredictability of the dyes is what I love about painting silks.

Lovely rose hair slides made with all colours of cabochons on a silver hairgrip. I think I may have to keep a few for myself as they look so pretty in beach weathered hair.
