I wanted to have another go at painting roses after painting the lovely gothic scarf a few weeks ago. I decided to use natural colours for the roses with a contrasting background colour. Using the silver gutta has highlighted the delicate petals of the rose. The salt technique worked wonders on this scarf. Using salt is a great way of adding texture and pattern, you never know how it will turn out which is part of the beauty of the technique.

Pretty pansies. Although I have painted pansies before each time I paint a scarf the outcome is totally different. Just goes to show no two scarves are ever the same. The blue hues on this scarf are stunning, the silk used as a soft sheen which adds to the luxurious appearance.

Hand painted lilac lilies. After painting the monochrome lilies for Fi I was inspired to use a more subtle colour palette. The richness of the purples and pinks really add depth to this design. I personally love this scarf design and it seems others do too as I have sold out of the stock I had :-)

Hand painted poppy and daisy design, sold out within minutes of selling at a recent craft fair. I love the bold colours used in this design, using the coppers and gold tones to highlight the features of the flowers.

Sew

After selling lots of scarves I decided to order customised labels to sew onto the back of the scarves. I am so happy with the outcome :-)
