In the spirit of the Royal Wedding I decided to make these cute rose earrings and hair slides in the patriotic colours. My two lovely friends came to join me in the celebrations and went home with a pair of rose earrings each....soon to be appearing in my shop on Folksy.

Just thought I'd load some photos of my working progress. I always save magazine and newspaper cuttings and now and again have a rummage through to make an inspiration board to help the design process. This is the cabbage rose scarf in its early stages. The scarves look so different from the early stages to the end result. The unpredictability of the dyes is what I love about painting silks.

Lovely rose hair slides made with all colours of cabochons on a silver hairgrip. I think I may have to keep a few for myself as they look so pretty in beach weathered hair.

A lovely pretty turquoise chrysanthemum flower ring now available in my shop.... a must for any summer outfit :-)

After painting the peony silk scarf I decided to stay with the colour palette I had chosen and set about painting cabbage roses. The peaches, pinks and caramels really complement each other. Another scarf I want to keep but I must sell....now available in my little online shop.

I simply love, love, love this silk scarf and I am happy to say that I have now sold it so it will soon make its way to its new home. I decided to have a few new designs to my Spring/Summer 11 collection and peonies were top of my list. I created an inspiration board and took ideas and colour palettes and incorporated it into this simply stunning scarf. I the caramel background gives this scarf a lovely vintage feel.
