Bow Ribbon Brooch
I wanted a cute little brooch to wear on a jacket the other day and set to making my own. I had a rummage in my craft/sewing box and came up with these pretty bow brooches made from ribbon and sparkly buttons. I think they are super cute so I made more and sold quite a few at the craft fair- they were a hit. Now I must make some more and in different colour ways. I think a nice simple black ribbon will be stunning.

Lucite Flower Earrings
After making the charm bracelets I decided I wanted to make some earrings to create a set. They are a perfect addition to the bracelets and look beautiful. I'm now thinking about making a few pendants for necklaces so they can be mixed and matched.

My lace and pearl corsages have been a great success and so I decided to expand the concept a little further. I met up with my best friends one weekend and Liske was wearing a flower hair slide which inspired me to have a go at making some with lace flowers. At first they proved a little tricky as I used  narrow lace but the time and effort paid off. I managed to make quite a few sets, each include two hair slides in different colours, and varying sizes.  A really sweet accessory.

I have been busy making a few key pieces of jewellery to go with my corsages and scarves. I found these wonderful lucite flower beads which I have mixed with gemstones, pearls and silver charms to create gorgeous charm bracelets.

Vintage and Craft Fair July 2010

The Vintage and Craft Fair July 2010, The Guildhall in Worcester.
Yesterday was my first time selling my handmade items at a craft fair . I had a lovely day meeting new crafters and designers. The Guildhall was busy all day long. I had lots of interest and sold a few items. Although I wasn't as successful as I had wished it was a great experience and great for networking. I would recommend every crafter and maker having a go, even if you don't sell lots its a super way of meeting other like minded and talented people. Its also a great way to show everyone what you can offer, I managed to hand out quite a few business cards so who knows I may be busy soon.
